Dear Dr

I had my mrm in June 2014. Since October 2014 I am having lymphodema in my left hand. I am doing regular exercise, lymphapress and wearing the sleeve for few hours per day.

My questions are

1 Is there any permanent treatment for lymphodema?

2 What are the best possible ways to reduce swelling?

3 What precautions should be taken to manage lymphodema?

Hi.. Arm swelling will come and go.. Best treatment and prevention is massaging from down to up (wrist to shoulder).. My mother is having the same and massaging and exercising is helping her.. Also do not wear anything tight on that arm.. All the best!

Yes Shelly is right - massage will help a lot and some exercise. Ask your doctor he will refer to some Physiotherapist
