Running out of options...

I had a stroke in September (I’ve had lung mets for 5 years) so obviously I couldn’t have chemo until I had recovered from the stroke - last CT scan has shown they have grown and I think she’s running out of options - I am now on EC which is about 50/50 success.. I’ve been on Paclatixel (?), Herceptin, Kadcyla and now this. I have been so positive and strong (with my faith in God) but I’m struggling to get my core strength back... I’m not breathless, just doing normal. Is anyone else on EC Chemo with a good result 🤞??

Hi,

I noticed your post hasn't had a reply yet so as I haven't had this treatment I did a little digging and found this link for you to have a look at forum.breastcancercare.org....

I hope it helps and wish you well and send prayers and positive thoughts your way

🙏🙏🙏🌞❤️

Thank You Shhilo for answering Sooty that was most kind of you.

Hello Sooty

I think your condition is a bit more complicated than some of us have on BCH

I had EC as part of FEC/T but mine was a Primary Tumour.

Do you have a Chemo Team or Nurse you can discuss improving your core strength as they may refer you to a Physio Therapist.

Increasing your daily walk(s) each day will help, even if it’s just going back n to the kitchen to make a drink.

Wishing you all the Very Best

Kind Regards

MrsN 💐

Hi Sooty

(what a lovely name) . I am sad to hear that you have had a stroke and that this has limited your treatment options. I do not have experience similar to your own so cannot help, but I do wish you all the best going forwards and hope that you can regain some of your former strength. Hugs Caroline xxx

Hi Sooty I also haven't had the same the same experience as you but have had Chemo and RT for breast cancer even tho the treatment was tough I got through it but like you I am finding that my strength is taking along time to return to normal and I am 12 months past finishing treatment.I get weary easily and experience back ache if I try to do too much so I just try to do a little often .I really hope all goes well for you and you can soon be free to enjoy your life again lots of love and hugs xx
