Kadcyla

Has anyone had the drug Kadcyla? Trastuzumab and em tans one combined? How did treatment go with it? I have to decide to have this combined or the Herceptin ( also known adTrastuzumab) as a single drug. Any comments/ advice welcome . Thanks

I'm starting Kadcyla today but I'm meant to be travelling to Spain on Sunday. The oncologist did say it was ok, but now I'm having doubts... what are the chances I will get ill? The consent form I signed did talk of risk of neutropenia, need to take my temperature every day etc...

After 6 rounds of chemo I was on the Herceptin and Projeta cocktail for 4 cycles when my doc suggested we switch to Kadcyla which was showing better long term results for killing any cells with my type of breast cancer.

However my latest scan (not of the head) shows new tumours so the oncologist has moved me onto Kadcyla - three-weekly infusions. The first will be next Tuesday. The following Sunday I am meant to be travelling to Spain with my family (inc elderly parents) for a 12 day trip!! We are going by train.

She is also suggesting going back on the Paclitaxel or trying Kadcyla ( keeping hair ) she also mentioned re introducing tamoxifen as I have not had it in 15 years . Has anyone reintroduced a medication after a long absence ? Did it work ? And any tips on Kadcyla ? Thank you , Luann🇨🇦

So, brain mri I had in May which was a month later than was supposed to be, not sure the reason but my oncologist did request it at same time as body CT which I had end of March and warranted the treatment change from kadcyla (TDM1) to enhertu.

I'm just coming off kadcyla, I'm on letrozole and have 3 monthly zometa. It literally is sudden onset pain and I have had some numb sensations on affected left side. Neuropathy maybe? Look forward to your replies and Hope you're as well as can be. X

Has anyone made this switch after Paclitaxel, herceptin & perjeta ? How did you find side effects in comparison ? When switching treatment what hormone treatment did you take ? thank you for sharing your wisdom . It is sunflower season in Ontario Canada such a happy , strong flower. Luann

Thanks in advance x P.S current treatment regime is kadcyla 3 weekly. Letrozole daily, been taking since September 2020. Zometa 3 monthly. Adcal.

Anyway, onc said with the scans and blood work from yesterday, it appears kadcyla is working well for me, 9 months on it currently. Hope all as well as can be with you ladies. Thanks for reading x

I recently came across articles that Ujvira the biosimilar for Kadcyla got launched in may 2021. Any one who can share any infor regarding it? My mom is soon to be put oj kadcyla however its very expensive.?

Can anyone on Kadcyla share their experience? Like duration and which stage they were on when they started. My mom who is stage 4 is starting soon after Herceptin (1 year) Lepatinib (Tykerb) (3 years) Thank you!

I have been on 3 weekly kadcyla infusions since end of march with very few side effects.

Whilst on kadcyla I have had brain MRIs to keep a close eye on whether the treatment is keeping the disease stable there as it can be known to cross the BBB.

Doctor advised for Trastuzumab Emtansine/Kadcyla/Ujvira , wanted to know does it cover under Insurance in india. Earlier when she was under Trastuzumab only for a year and Insurance was denied.

Hi ladies I had a left mastectomy in Jan 17, have had various treatments and have been on Cape for about 1 1/2 years but unfortunately it has stopped working and I am about to start Kadcyla IV.

Apparently I will be scanned again in around 6 weeks, CT of abdomen/thorax and a brain MRI to see if the kadcyla has had any effect on the brain lesions of which there are many. Take care Caroline xx
