Well I had a scan and a biopsy, had a phone call this morning to have an appointment with consultant later today to discuss results, needless to say I am nervous....
Biopsy results : Well I had a scan and... - My Breast Cancer ...
Biopsy results
Thinking of you xxxx
Not the results was hoping, invasive breast cancer grade I, but has been caught very early and prognosis is very good. Don’t know about treatment yet as not had MDT meeting, but likely have a mri scan
Really sorry that you have to start 2019 with such horrible news. Its really good that they have caught it at stage 1. Unfortunately the treatment is not much fun but hopefully the treatment will give you an all clear. Good luck over the coming months. Its a long journey but it will be behind you hopefully by this time next year. Best wishes Caroline xx
Hi sorry to hear your news, treatment will depend on the type of cancer ER+ or TN or her2 etc, mine was ER+ it will also depend if nodes are affected, they also now test the tumour they remove and give you a encotype test result on the tissue removed, that will also determine treatment.
All the best with your treatment Deb xx
Good luck as you go forward. Take notes ask as many questions as you want when you’re in that room it’s like your brain turns to cotton wool xx
I’ve just had more biopsies on lymph nodes, I’ve very recently been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (idc) grade 2, her2 negative, oestrogen positive... I’ve had an mri and go back to see consultant for treatment plan and further results on 4th January.... I believe the grades of tumours are checked again once removed and can change.
Its abolutely horrible to find yourself in this place and my heart goes out to you. Its great that you have another appointment so soon. Hopefully the treatment will be starting quickly too. I hope the treatment goes well for you. I would not be truthful if I said it was easy but its definitly do-able. I wish you the best over the coming months - do look after yourself. Good luck Caroline xx
You will find this site a great deal of help as there is always someone who has been there etc....
I'm 2 plus years on from diagnosis of IDC grade 2b HER+, had single mastectomy, 6 chemo and lots more stuff that I won't batter your head with.
Sending you best wishes xx
I keep crying rollercoaster of emotions, it’s just not fare!!!
I was diagnosed with IDC ER+ grade 1 last year, had surgery (lumpectomy) & radiotherapy which finished a few months ago. When I look back at what I went through last year I can’t quite believe it, but I got through it & I’m sure you will too. There is an amazing amount of support out there, which really helped me & I’m sure you will also benefit from too. Hang in there, its a tough ride, but you will get through it. Good luck with everything xx
Feeling a lot better after chatting to the nurse. It’s Invasive ductal breast cancer hormone + grade 1..... now they need to biopsy my left as they weren’t expecting those results and I had abnormalities on both on my mammogram, ultrasound showed cysts and micro-calcifications on both.
