Hi Eileen, since I had chemo last year, which finished in June, my joints have been so bad that I'm actually on morphine sulphate painkillers. I was beginning to think I was alone with this, I'm so glad I'm not actually going crazy, I was starting to think it actually was all in my mind!! Hope things get better for you x

Hi Annie a didn't have chemo I had radiotherapy I've been back and forth to my gp she did some bloods to check my bones but it was clear so she thinks it's down to tamoxifen I couldn't even carry a shopping bag the other day as my shoulder and arms were so bad but hope it sorts itself out hope it gets better for you soon x

I developed excruciating pain about a year after my mastectomy, couldn't raise my arms or stand up from sitting, took me 10 minutes to get down the stairs! Was on painkillers that didn't touch it. Was sent for a bone scan, fortunately all clear and was finally diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica. The treatment is to take steroids and they worked like magic, within about 5hours I found it easier to move. Just something to think about.

Hi Eileen I am on tamoxifen just one year, I have terrible heaviness in my legs and swelling been to a vascular surgeon he told me to wear compression tights and went back to the oncologist she told me they don't look for those symptoms only clots, I blame the tamoxifen, I am trying to walk most days and I get a massage when I can, it is starting to ease.. I have to stay positive and hope it gets better with time

It's the tamoxifen intake evening primrose capsules, they do help, and I got an ion curve band £10 look on web, but it is par for course, I try not to take pain killers, it is getting better, it's to do with the lack of oestrogen , which probably why it was worse after having ovaries out X
