Germ cell tumours in adult male

My son in law 31 had surgery and radiotherapy for 2 malignant tumors less than a year ago and now one has returned on his pineal gland. It's a rare cancer that starts in the womb. Appreciate any information out there as theres very little on adults as it's a childhood cancer in Male testicles or female ovaries.

Than you

Eileen

This is my favorite site for tumors. It’s the most updated. Very interesting case. I’m sorry your family is dealing with this.

Sending strength and peace

Thankyou I will have a look at link. Both tumours have returned and dusting around the brain. Was germinoma last time, now non germinoma which they said isn't good. He is currently in hospital and hopefully starting chemo for 1 week off 2wks x 4 times. Last time he had the highest level of radiotherapy so cant go there. He has deteriorated both physically and mentally. Consultant give him 30% which doesn't sound too good but we will continue to hope for the best.

Hope you are in good health

Thankyou

E

My son in law unfortunately passed away albeit peacefully on February 12th at hospice leaving my daughter and 2 children and all who loved him. They told us on 3rd January there was nothing more they could do! He held on as long as he could 💔
