I was wondering if anyone has any experience of arachnoid cysts. This cyst has caused excess accumulation of fluid in the brain, which now requires a brain shunt. If anyone is able to share their experience of life with a brain shunt, then that would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

I'd think essential oils, like Holly Basil, Parsley, frankincense, thyme, food grade, doTERRA is a good brand, these essential oils are none toxic in small amounts and can pass the blood brain barrier, id also add moringa capsules, and Sauerkraut to the diet.
My daughter (age 18) was suddenly ill with stroke symptoms in May this year and she was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
On her CT & MRI scan, they found a right temporal lobe arachnoid cyst, middle cranial fossa which was 3.5 x 2.6 cm. It was an incidental finding which they deemed to be nothing to worry about, and it had no relation to FND. We had no idea she had a cyst, although she has always had brain-related struggles which we put down to her ADHD & Autism diagnosis.
Unfortunately, her FND symptoms are getting gradually worse and the Neuro Muscular Therapist she sees is concerned that the cyst may be the major contributor, especially as FND is an umbrella term for unknown neurological issues. We have an appointment for a second opinion/repeat scan soon, so it will be interesting to see if the cyst has changed at all.
Have you had any issues like this, and have you had a brain shunt since your original post? I would be interested to know how you have got on.
