So on Wednesday there was a little bit of spotting but yesterday nothing. Today l have wake up with a small amount of brown blood in my pants. More than all day Wednesday. Is this still classed as spotting? Called the early pregnancy unit and they have said nothing they can do so trying to stay chilled but will be gutted if this is the start of a period.

It's pretty common to get random spotting during the first trimester. As long as it's just spotting you can rest assured that everything is alright. A lot of women get odd brown spotting throughout the gestation and deliver the absolutely healthy baby. Your Clinic suggested you the right thing - relax and rest for now. The more you think of negative outcome the more you'll get upset - it has a negative impact on hormonal balance that aids pregnancy.
