I need some advice.

I am 18 years old and I'm not sure if I am pregnant. Since I was 11 I have had irregular periods and at one point I didn't have periods for almost 4 years, the reason being because I have poly-cystic ovarian syndrome so it is normal for me. Over the past month me and my boyfriend have been sexually active but we have been using protection. But for the past few days every night my stomach feels like someone is squeezing it, my womb feels tender, I have hot flashes, feel slightly dizzy, I get a headache and my eyes hurt. I also have back problems due to falling down the stairs a few years ago so I'm not sure if my back is hurting because of possibly being pregnant or not. I have a slightly heavy discharge and I have noticed I'm needing to pee a lot more than usual. I'm scared to be pregnant, I've just finished College and I'm looking for a job so I can't financially support a baby. My boyfriend also said that he doesn't want a baby because he's too young and wants me to have an abortion if I am pregnant but for me personally I couldn't have an abortion. I know I should get a pregnancy test but I'm too scared for the result. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it and I'm sorry for such a long post! xx

sorry to say this hun but the only way to get a answer is to test, testing will not change facts, you are either pregnant or your not, I understand your scared but the sooner you no the better and then you can stop wondering

Hi hun, yes, you need to do a test, but check it's been long enough since you had sex that it will be accurate. If you are pregnant and don't want to have an abortion, it's better that you know. No one can make you have an abortion, and even if you're scared, that's not a reason to base your decision on, because a lot of guys get scared when their wife/girlfriend/partner get pregnant - it seems to be natural because then they want to provide or have fears that they can't provide. Let me know if you want to chat. You can message me xx

Hi,

I'm someone who also has polycystic ovaries and am currently 14+5 weeks pregnant. I had all of those symptoms at the beginning, including feeling sick constantly and being massively bloated everyday. Which prompted me to do a test. I would recommend a test as they are 99% accurate.

I wish you all the best with whatever happens xx

Hi there

I know it can be really scary taking a pregnancy test, perhaps you could pop down to your local young persons sexual health clinic and take a test with one of the nurses there? This is a helpful link to find your local clinic: brook.org.uk/find-a-service

Best wishes
