Laxatives in pregnancy?

just wondering if it's safe to take senna whilst pregnant? I'm 9 weeks.

U can try isabgol. Its safe during pregnancy.

Hi there

If increased fibre and fluid aren't helping there are some safe laxatives you can use when pregnant because they aren't absorbed by the digestive system. These are osmotic laxatives lactulose and macrogols. If these don't work, it might be worth booking an appointment with your GP who may recommend taking a small dose of bisacodyl or senna.
