Question re buying a Doppler

Hi , I'm wanting to buy a Doppler so I can check myself my growing baby's heartbeat.

I am 10 weeks and had an early scan at 6 weeks and heard heartbeat then.

I have my 12 week scan in 2 weeks but just was looking at buying my own Doppler.

Has anyone else bought one and at what stage were you able to detect heartbeat .

Any recommendations would be appreciated .

with my first baby I got a Doppler and couldn't locate baby's heartbeat till 22 weeks, second baby I got a better one and picked up heartbeat at 16 weeks this time round I got the FHR 3Mhz probe and can find baby's heartbeat from 11 weeks

Hi there! I'm 11 wks 4 days, I went and brought a 'Hi bebe' Doppler and I heard a very loud heart beat yesterday! I've heard some people can hear from 9 weeks with that Doppler :3 it's worth a try! X

Hi there

It might be a good idea to talk to your midwife about how to use a Doppler and the skills that go with it. Just to make sure that you don't cause yourself undue stress and anxiety.
