Empty 2nd sac.. is there any hope?

Hi,

This is my 3rd pregnancy. I went for a scan when I was 7+5 as I had pains. Saw one baby with heartbeat nice and healthy and an empty sac. They said it'll probably disappear as my body with absorb it or the other twin will. They said It's common but they'll check at 12 week scan it's gone or if anything formed. I'll attach a picture and you'll see the empty sac is a lot smaller. Is there any hope that something would form? Anyone experienced this? I'm so grateful that the one that formed is healthy but would have been nice to have twins!
