Am I pregnant?

Need peoples advice/opinions please,

I had a baby 11 weeks ago, around 6 weeks I had a period, then 2 and a bit weeks ago I had another bleed, but for 3 days (that's never happened ) but haven't had a proper period, and now I've started 'spotting' if you like, really really light pink, I've been spotting for about 2 days now.. I have had unprotected sex with my partner stupid I know, I'm due to get my coil at the end of the month. I'm just wondering what this bleeding is? Is it implantation bleeding or something else? I've had pain above my bellybutton really quite painful too and am now a little worried.. Tia xx

Hi there

Spotting can happen if you are breastfeeding and then start to breastfeed less so that could potentially be the cause. Fertility can also return within a month of childbirth so I would suggest taking a pregnancy test if your period is late/lighter than usual. If you take a test and it comes back negative but you still haven't had a period I would talk to the gp or nurse who is going to fit your coil and they can best advise you.

Thank you for the reply, I'm not breastfeeding my lo is on formula.. Its the pain I'm worried about, I have pain above my belly button and keep getting extremely dizzy, could this be anything to do with the spotting or something completely different? Xx

Hi there

I am sorry to hear you are not well. If you are in pain and are getting dizzy and these symptoms continue then I would suggest seeing if you can pop to see your GP and they run some tests to see what is causing it.
