I have been on the pill for a long time, around about 4 months, all fine and good. Then i looked into and found out i didn't think the pill was for me, so i got the implant. I got the implant on Thursday, and it takes two weeks for it to work. I have recently had sex, and didn't use a condom, I'm not worried about STD's or anything its just about being pregnant. I have had a pill or two left so i took one straight after, but I'm worried that this wouldn't be a way of contraception as i haven't taken it for 5 days. Anyway my boyfriend did not ejaculate inside of me. Should i get the morning after pill?

Hi Danielle,
If the implant was fitted on the first 5 days of your period you would be covered by the implant, it also only takes 7 days to work if not fitted during your period, where you should use condoms or no sex. You would need to access an emergency pill either from the clinic you had it fitted or from a pharmacy. I would go and chat through dates etc with whomever fitted the implant to put your mind at ease and work out if there is a pregnancy risk.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Katherine
