it is my first time using the NuvaRing and i have placed to my vaginal on 17:00 ,however it became to be uncomfortable and i have expelled from your vagina at 20:00 for like 1 min to squees it in and placed futhur in my vaginal. Then i look at the NuvaRing website and it says that after the ring is expelled i have to rinse the expelled NuvaRing and then place in my vaginal.Does this will have an effect on the efficency of the NuvaRing? Should I throw that out and place a new one and wait 7 days for this nucaring to work?

Hi there

The fact it came out and you put it straight back in without rinsing it is not a problem (that’s just in case it was dropped on the floor). For it to work straight away it would need to be put in the 1st day of your period, if put in any other day it would need 7 days to start working (so use condoms or no sex for that 7 days.)

I hope this helps

Best wishes

Katherine

Hi there

If your ring was out for less than three hours it will continue working with no problems. The advice when this happens is to rinse with cold or lukewarm (not hot) water and put it straight back in. The fact that you didn’t rinse it will not affect how it works.

I hope this helps

Best wishes

Katherine
