I took an emergency contraceptive pill on my second day of being on my period and I want to know when is my next ovulation? Or am I not going to ovulate this month?

Hi there

Your next period may be slightly delayed, but it is best to do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after using the emergency pill and especially if your period is late, shorter lighter etc.

You can get tests for free from your GP or local contraceptive and sexual health clinic (you can find your nearest one here fpa.org.uk/find-a-clinic ). Although you can also buy them from pharmacies, supermarkets and even pound shops.

I hope this helps

Best wishes

Katherine
