Hi there,

Sterilisation is over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy so it is extremely unlikely you could fall pregnant if the procedure was successful. If your next period is late, you should take a test, but again try not to panic as it really highly unlikely that you have conceived after being sterilised. If you are concerned about your procedure, maybe going to speak to your GP or family planning / sexual health clinic might help put your mind at rest.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Katherine

The reason I started getting freaked out is because.. my friend coming to find out got pregnant with her tubes tied.
