Diverticular disease

hi all

Been having abdominal pains since January. Had the fight of my life with gps to get any thing done first visit gp told me it was ibs and he had seen worse. Any way prescription for mebeverine and off I went. All was well for about 3 days then the pain was back but 1000 times worse couldn’t sleep couldn’t lie on my sides it was great. Phoned gps told them. They said do a 💩 sample. So I did they checked for inflammation and it came back raised got an ultrasound scan nothing camera up bum they said oh you have multiple diverticular nothing to worry about loads of people have them. Ok. Just had letter saying I have diverticula disease and what looks like could be maybe a lipoma in my small bowel. Again both things nothing to worry about we see loads of them will write to you when we get results from biopsy’s

so anyone else had this trouble getting diagnosed results and so on

And is there nothing to worry about

Any tips on diet pain constipation and so on would be appreciated

I have had this disease for a few years. I find eating all bran every day helps to keep things moving, I haven't had a flare up for over 6 months.

Been having that with some frozen fruit in for breakfast still no joy bm don’t seem to be the problem had on this morning had breakfast now I’m bloated around my belly button and towards my hip right side. Don’t think fibre agrees with my gut at all
