Please give me sum info if you're experiened anything similar

Hi recently my mum was diagnosed with cancer to the bowel its also spread to the liver they were going to operate to cut cancer and rejoin the bowel but stopped operation they said they wanted to give her chemo to try to reduce tumors in liver as her cell count is low and said this would have to improve before operating on bowel they said if they operate bleeding might not stop because her cell count was lol has anyone had anything similar that can give me sum assurance and maybe tell me what outcome they had with same situation thanks!
