new Ostopenia diagnosis -64 yr old active , now worried for fracture

Hi all - just freshly informed by GP that I have Osteopenia. Great. Not great. doing so much reading and researching there is a lot of info to get thru. Have made changes so far, but this question I have - what is better: strength or resistance training? I just can't get a clear excercise plan , some things contradict.....gaahh!! Tks for any advice u have. SW- Toronto

Progressive resistance training is recommended, but I believe that includes strength training, as you're building up your muscles and increasing bone strength in doing this form of exercise. I exercise with weights and resistance bands, and the idea is to gradually increase the amount of weight and resistance.
