Does anyone have any experience with a bone growth stimulator after lumbar fusion?

I haven’t got a clue. I can only presume it’s something like most of us are on. I’m on Denosumab for spinal fractures.

I no experience but I found this that sort of explains it - although you may have already seen it yourself - osc-ortho.com/services/surg...

I read about PEMF mats after I developed a sacral insufficiency fracture last summer.

I have no idea if it actually helps my bones but I do know using it has allowed me to reduce my painkillers from the maximum dose of paracetamol or occasionally ibuprofen to one in the morning if I remember to take it. It has also made a huge difference to my sleep patterns - before I got the mat I was only getting 3-4 hours of sleep a night, mainly because of the pain I was in. Not I get between seven and a half to eight hours a night which is amazing.

I lie on it every day for 20 minutes morning and evening I miss the odd morning but i know I feel a bit more creaky and stiff when I’ve not been on it.

Hi I’m very interested about the PEMF mat, will look into if it might help me with my lumbar and sacral spine issues and the chronic nerve damage I have with the nerve impingement due to spinal fractures. Looks interesting. Glad it has helped you.

Your problems sound Very similar to mine 1ChLoE, if you decide to get one have a good look at the conditions of use before you buy.You mustn’t use them if you have certain conditions but if you’re ok to use one then you might find it helpful.

Thanks for the information. Would you mind telling me which one you bought? There seems a lot of choice. Thanks

This is the one I bought - it also comes with a small battery operated pad that you can use in the car. I can’t remember what my query was but someone contacted me straight away with an answer to whatever it was I asked - so I’d say their after sales service is very good.
