Why are people with breast cancer with mets spread to the bone automatically put on Denosumab or another bone strengthener even if they have a normal DEXA scan?

I imagine it's seen as a way of protecting your bones during some cancer treatments. You could try asking a helpline nurse at the ROS: theros.org.uk, or maybe one of the cancer charities would know the answer.
