Hi, I hope I'm in the right place. Today I had to walk home from work as my car is in the garage. After about half a mile I started getting pain in both my shins which very quickly forced me to take a seat at a bus stop. I've done a little bit of researching online and it sounds a lot like shin splints. I cut grass for a living which involves a lot of walking and I have never had this pain, but half a mile on the pavement dropped me. Any ideas on what I can do would be greatly appreciated.

I would see a physio I think
I agree with tishbindefeld and would urge you to see a Physio/GP to get a proper diagnosis as splints can turn into fractures.
However if you do a search for shin splints on Health Unlocked at the top of the page you should get lots of results (mainly from the running forums) which might help until you can get an appointment.
