I have a Spinomed back brace, which really helps with my mobility, but slips up, I going back to the Orthotics Team; it may be it’s too short when I read all the Spinomed information. The physio at the hospital suggested I did some research to see if other people have had better experience with other models of brace. I have permanent damaged to 8 vertebras mainly in the thoracic area.

Hi Posy. I've just had a look on you tube to look up the type of brace you use. I did not know they existed so thank you for bringing them to my attention. I get some of my aids from WWW.completecareshop.co.uk They do a range of different back supports and have mini videos demonstrating the products about fit etc. During office hours they also have occupational therapists available to speak to who are very helpful. Standard rate calls to 03330 160000 if you are in the uk. I often look at their site, speak to them if I need to and then research other sellers to look at reviews and compare prices before I buy. This seller also allows vat free purchases for people with disabilities like many of us. You may already have looked at them although I hope this helps if you are just starting out on your research. Thank you Dido, I thought I'd wait until after my hospital appointment before replying. Had some alterations to the brace which made means it's more comfortable to wear and was measured for a corset, I'll try anything to improve my now limited mobility.
Locally we have a service run by OT where you can see and try aids and equipment so I'd seen and tried some of the things that I then saw in the Complete Care online catalogue. I have found some of the postage from such companies expenses but Complete Care is very reasonable, thank you for the signpost to them.
