- anyone using or used a foam neck brace to help support head and neck?
really, this disease and its drugs and their negligent prescription are rolled up into a ball of hell

I remember years ago hearing something about those collars - like not to use one. I’ve googled and found this which is pretty much what I was told so I think if you are thinking of one you would probably be safer to consult a physical therapist or a doctor
Hi I hurt my neck many years ago and I was given a coller by the physio. I still have chronic pain with it but I have been told that using a coller can make the neck muscles weak and they do not recommend them now. I was told if I am in pain in bed to roll up a towel and put it in the bottom of my pillow for support, the nurse said it works just as well as any expensive aids. I use it quite a lot and it works for me. I also have exercises to do. Char
Yes, I've been using one for the last few nights, it's just one off internet and really helps as my neck is starting to be affected too. At night I tend to turn my head a lot and if in one position for too long the pain can be bad inc. down to my shoulder, ibuleve helps too, plus gentle movements to keep it mobile and hand moving it from side to side and stretching. I wouldn't wear it all the time though and stop using when neck pain goes.
I bought one on the internet too. I wear it at night because I tended to put my head back and further pinch my pinched area. The neck brace helps to correct that!
Yep, when I was so weak and crippled with first spinal #s, I would fall asleep with my head on right shoulder- don't know why but did not want to end up with neck bent as well as spine. Plus it's comforting, keeps area warm so helps circulation to denuded parts. I would not use a rigid or uncovered foam one and only use when bad, am ok now after 3 nights use. 👍
