prolia problems

In a nightmare with prolia treatments. My prescribing physician has "lost track" of my last injection (which i know to have been August 2018). I realize I am due (I have been receiving them every 6 months for over three years), but have been desperately researching an alternative as I have experienced severe side effects. I need a new physician ASAP .... any recommendations ?!

I don't know where you are but it doesn't matter- I wouldn't recommend the docs who got me into this trouble when (because of a change in the medical center) my Prolia shot was just a few weeks late and I had vertebral fractures as a result that have pretty well ruined my life. I wish I had known how important it was not to be LATE with this. You need to keep track of this and insist on getting your shot on time unless/until you have a safe exit plan. (And I'm still trying to find a safe exit plan for myself, so unless I do, I'm afraid I may be serving a life sentence in Prolia Penitentiary!)

Thank you. I appreciate your input. Best wishes for an answer for us all🙏

Find a Rheumatologist and have then measure your bone reabsorption rate. (rate of bone turnover) too high a rate is not good and indicates a rebound effect from stopping Prolia (which I had to do because it caused jaw bone deterioration- a very nasty condition ) the normal range is 14.4 to 75

I am being monitored and hope to have my needed hip replacement surgery in April before the number climbs too high. The doctor says I cannot take bisphosphonates or Prolia because they all can cause my jaw problem. He is currently suggesting Forteo (teriparatide) which requires daily injections. I am rejecting it for the time being. My life has been a nightmare since Prolia. In all fairness, had a tooth not fractured and needed to be taken out, I might not be so angry.

Good luck to you.

Not fair. Prolia is known to cause deterioration of the jaw if you need an extraction. Prolia is the devil. Repeat Prolia is the devil. I would not take another shot even if all my bones broke. It is destroyed my life as it has many other people. Go to website ” ask a patient“. Plug-in Prolia. You’ll get your eyes full and you’ll get the reality of the dangers of that drug. Amgen knew it when they put it out They preen because No lawyers will take them on in a proper class action. As a destroys and kill women and men; what do you mean you are married to that filthy drug Prolia. If your bone turnover is too fast you will break bones while you’re on it Sputter sputter I just can’t go on about this I’m so angry at how it destroyed my life. these these people need to be stopped

I do not like Amgen AND FDA because they are fully aware of what they’re doing to the patients but it’s all for the sake of the almighty dollar. God is watching!
