Indapamide

hi does anyone have any experience with side effects of low sodium/potassium taking Indaamide ? It would seem that this diuretic can potentially affect potassium and sodium levels which can become low over time. I have had this problem and am to be taken off it. Do all diuretics do this I wonder ? Any useful feedback appreciated

I had the same on indapamide. Ended up passing out in the middle of the night. So taken off it. Doxasosin did the same to me. I am now trying a 3rd one ,spironolactone, on a low dose, so we shall see....

I also felt unwell on indapamide and am.on spironolactone now which is a lot better for me and no side effects thank goodness 😅

Hi Sue. That’s interesting about Spironalactone. Does it control BP as effectively tho without impact on your electrolytes making you feel awful ?

For me it's been a game changer and I certainly feel better faster than on any of the other blood pressure meds. Luckily my cardiologist seems to be willing to try until he finds the pills that suit and don't interact with each other. Indapamide was prescribed by my GP btw. Let us know how you get on won't you 😊
