Bp meds and libido in women (perimenopausal)

I’m on 12.5mg Losartan for raised Blood pressure. I’m 42 and perimenopausal. I’ve been on testosterone for my libido for about 7 weeks with little effect. I can pinpoint my libido falling off a cliff with starting Losartan. Is this a thing? Any other women who have found Bp meds affected their libido? Thanks

I don’t take Losartan but I have read that it improves mood and libido in some people. I guess it affects us all differently so it could be the culprit in your case. There will be others on this forum who have a direct experience of using it and will hopefully share their thoughts with you.

I’m a male, but I started taking Losartan 25mg in April of 2023. My libido had started to decrease around August of 2023. Now it’s almost non existent. I read a lot of patients taking Losartan having the same issues, however all articles on this say that Losartan helps improve sexual function. Something is not right. I’m going to come off it.
