How low is too low

Hi, i've been on bp meds for about 6 weeks now. Ramipril then losartan 25mg. My bp was previously hovering around 140/90. My readings now are around 120/73 but i'm feeling very dizzy and woozy. Last night my bp went to 133/60. Anyone have any experience of getting their medication reduced and what levels they had to do this.

I'd really like to get to 12.5mg. I suffer from white coat and am sure some of my high readings in the past have been linked to stress around taking readings. Thanks

I am on Ramipril at the moment, and I take 10mg per day. I am not sure if i have mentioned in my past feed that I was on Losartan (Doxazocin) updated. and had to come off them as they were making me angry and argumentative with my wife. She guided me to a chemist whilst we were on a holiday down south. The Chemist said to leave them off and go back to my doctor when i got home.

Thanks to my wife I was so pleased to be given a different medication.

Remember though, not everyone will have the same side effects.

kind regards

For some unknown reason I put Losartan when i was talking about Doxazocin.

As for Losartan, I had them for a couple of years up until 2021 when we were all in lock down. I had a telephone appt with my doctor as I (somehow) became unable to take them. It was taking my potassium out of me and I was prescribed potassium soluble tablets, which I took before moving on to Ramipril along with 40mg water tablets.

I am so sorry about the confusion I may have caused. (I hate being 70) 😥😥😫😩

no confusion at all! Thanks for replying. Glad you got sorted

My father lived for a long time with BP at 90/60. It seems to be the lowest limit, because below it, people have problems to remain conscious. He never had this problem and lived quite normally. Despite it, our family Dr said that he does not understand how my father can live with such a low BP, but he did.

I have been on Losartan for a few years now, 100 strength. Recently the tablet has changed, it's a larger tablet and seems to upset my tummy and cause me to feel unwell. I will have to tell Dr about this obviously but originally before it changed I found it excellent. Also take Doxazocin and Adizem which has never caused me any problems at all. I hope things work out for you xxx
