I’ve recently been put on Losartan 25mg for bp. I’m perimenopausal and anxious and it’s been running at about 140/90. Even after just 5 days my readings are already showing around 120/80 ish. I’m not a big drinker but do enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine. Do people find alcohol massively affects them when on Bp meds? I’d like to be able to have a drink without getting hyped up about low blood pressure - only just stopped worrying about the high!

relaxing with a glass of wine is great! Just be aware of amounts of course. I always take my pressure in mid/late afternoon - so that my readings are consistent with each other - so I’ve no clue as to what the pressure might be after a glass.
I had a look back at your earlier posts and replies, too. Please do take on board the fact that the medically recommended blood pressures assume that you are relaxed. I always take ten minutes sitting down, cuff on and reading a book, then three SLOW but not massively deep breaths then I hit the button. I throw away the first reading and take the average of the next three, taken at about two minute intervals and NO TALKING. I’ve done a bit of experimentation and found that even chatting about inconsequentials makes the systolic go up by nearly ten points.
The best resource on blood pressure in my view is from the specialist charity Blood Pressure UK. Have a browse through their website.
