Hello

you haven’t had a reply so I expect no one on this forum is on that particular regime
May I ask why did you pose the question? How can we help you?
yes I am no problems with either. At first I took Ramipril at night and vendra in the morning . As I kept forgetting I now take both in morning and seems to keep no stable.
Hello I do not take that combination but I did take Bendroflumethiazide for many years with no ill effects till a test showed my uric acids were high which is a common side effect of long term use of that specific drug. I now take a different drug as Iam allergic to ace inhibiters which are usually given for high blood pressure. Propananol and Ramipril are ones I cannot take. We are all different so if they work do not alter the drug is my suggestion. If causing problems see your GP. Best wishes.
I was on irbasartan and bendroflumethiazide for 40 years which kept my BP in the 120's until my GP got on the bandwagon about water tablets(thiazides casing low sodium levels). The thiazide was withdrawn and my BP shot up into the 200+ the solution was to increase my irbasartan level from 75 to 150mg - when that did not work, to increase to 300mg and subsequently to ad beta blockers - non of which brought my BP down .Also the side effects were horrific from extreme migraines to trips to hospital with suspected bleads on the brain .After my husband had multiple arguments with all concerned (it took several months) a case was made to reintroduce diuretics into my regimen. So now I am back with the 75mg irbasartan and 2.5 indapamide(an alternate diuretic which does not reduce blood sodium as much as the thiazides). My BP is steady in the 120's and blood sodium is normal. I am 87 years old and look froward to many more which 12 months ago seemed unlikely. It was the clinics pharmasist who eventually agreed these changes not the GP.
Thank you oldhuntress, I am glad to hear of someone who had similar experience to myself. My drugs were sorted by the surgeries Pharmacist. My blood pressure is lower but not as low as the new requirements. However your response gives us all hope, my Gp was quite happy to stop the drugs and leave me with high blood pressure as I was not able to take the ones he wanted to prescribe and unfortunatrely I did not want to argue the toss as to alternatives. This time I have been able to discuss it with the clinics ect. Times are changing.
