my mate just had a stroke only 60 been on bp pills for years,i got him taking baby aspirin 3 years ago,i went to see him he told me he stopped aspirin on doc s advice 12 months ago, said he wish he had not, asked consultant who said off record if he had continued with them and no stomach issues he would not have had the stroke as it was caused by a clot, now why do the docs tell you not to take them when they no they stop clots and thin the blood. and stop strokes heart attacks, its a puzzle.i know ill continue to take them no matter what doc advices if i ever go to see one lol,

Peter, the whole issue is quite complicated. Aspirin allows the blood to move more freely through the cardiovascular system. It may indeed help to prevent clots. But if it used, the combination of drugs is important. It’s not just aspirin.

but i imagine aspirin stops the clots,if u having heart attack they recomend to chew a 325 aspirin instantly to break the clot and save your life, they always use to say everyone over 40 take a baby one,

You cannot generalise, if. I took aspirin I could bleed to death as I have a clotting problem and there are many others like me who cannot take aspirin.

Has your friend been jabbed with the Covid 19 jabs?? They are highly implicated in clotting conditions. Loads of bleeds and thrombi after jabs.

Yes I read it and if you had any medical knowledge you would know that clotting is a blood issue. So decisions are best left to doctors.

Sorry to hear your mate had a stroke at only 60, there is a rumour goes round that if you reach 60 without a stroke you may never have one. But we know these are just rumours. Your post has raised a few different points mainly the pros and cons of taking aspirin. Which facts are correct or not. I think in your freinds case they must do what seems the best option for thier own health now. I could get into the effects of aspirin , even possible problems but it wont help your freind . He may be given a different drug now hes experienced a stroke. I do hope he regains his mobility ect but it may take many months to recover dependent on the severity of the stroke damage. I am sure the NHS will be there to assist his rehabilitation if necessary.

well if he had taken aspirin it could not have been worse than not taking it and having a stroke, its a good preventitive that is cheap and works as well as the prescription drugs, so you are saying he was better having a stroke than taking aspirin which more than likely would have prevented it. all his family that i no have started taking a baby aspirin since his stroke, id rather risk a little bleeding which some studies now say aspirin does not cause only in 1 in thousands than have a heart attack/stroke.
