After 7 month on this dose and moving away from Ramipril due to the dry cough. I i am now getting severe side effect of dizziness, Light headed Nausea Pin an d Needles all of which are effect my ability to work and function. The less concerning side effect are the need to drink more and going to toilet more. Has anyone else had the side effects so severe ?
My GP also notes my phosphates are low but this maybe unrelated ?

Hi, I also am on losartan 50mg and 10mg amlopodine. Rampiril also caused me to have a cough so stopped that one. I also get thirsty and get cramps in my legs and hands if I dont drink enough water. Didnt realise that it could be the losartan that is causing it. You are not alone but as you say it is causing you problems to work think you should get in touch with your gp and have a check and ask for a blood test. As you know with bp meds it takes a while to get the balance right. Good luck.
I have been on Losartan 100 for 2 years plus Adizem 300 & Doxadozine 2. All was ok, no side effects but recently I’m getting bad pains in my legs. I have noticed that my Losartan med has changed, ie looks different, no dose on it & just different. I’m now thinking it could be Losartan that’s to blame. I will drink more water as aliens2 mentioned this. Will speak to my Dr & update here. Thank you both for posting about this. Take care and REDJP_UK I do hope your side effects clear up. Best wishes to you both xxx
Hello. I too suffered the Ramipril cough and was moved to Losartan. The only symptom we seem to share is the need to pee more after taking the medication. I also take Amlodipine so that may be the cause. My solution was to move the time of day the medication is taken to around 6 pm. It means that toilet facilities are usually on hand when needed, and I do not wake up during the night.
In respect of the other symptoms they sound serious. As others have said your GP should be aware and take necessary action.
