After several horrid side effects from taking Felodipine my GP has put me on 2.5mg Bisoprolol,I’m experiencing face flushing, itching ,joint pain and breathing difficulties,am I to expect problems with every drug I try.I’ve been on Rampril for several years with no adverse side effects.Worried about just stopping med before calling GP but at present no guarantee I will get through to surgery for several days.

Better not to stop or change medication without reference to your GP, in my personal view.

Two thoughts - your pharmacist might be able to give guidance to your GP (many high street pharmacists do stints at hospitals and they advise hospital doctors from there). The main charity is Blood Pressure UK and you can have a look at their website for inspiration.
