I have been taking Bisoprolol Fumarate for 18 months for my hypertension. This week I was given Bisoprolol by pharmacist for the first time. Are they the same thing?

I've looked online to check but it doesn't say they are different but neither does it say they are the same. Have you checked the leaflet from the boxes as it should say in there. If it's important to you, you could ring your pharmacist and ask.

I would say they are not exactly the same, Your pharmacist should dispense what the doctor has prescribed so it’s a question to pose to the pharmacist, as Springcross has said.

Hi Thank you for your replies. I did phone up the pharmacy and asked him about it. He didn't say they were the same nor different. All he said was " That's all we have at the moment"! I googled and did my own reserch. Yes they are the same.😀
