Four months in two allergic reactions. Skin problems etc. Still trying to get blood pressure managed. Haven’t slept properly since. I also have a heart condition that was given long qt syndrome. Sorry pity party here. How ha e you all wrapped your head around it and just let it go so it doesn’t take over your life. Advice needed.

I’ve been on blood pressure medication since I was a teenager ( I’m 40 years old). I’m also on insulin shots for type 1 Diabetes.

For the blood pressure, I take my blood pressure medication once a day at breakfast. I eat a low carb high protein, gluten free and low sodium diet.

What medication did your doctor suggest at your last appointment?😀👍🌈

Because I have problems with meds. I’m on 10 of norvacs channel blocker and just had to add 40 of an arb med mederis. The arb hurts my stomach but they say there is no other choices for me as the ace inhibitor and the diabetic put me in the hospital . I have had skin problems since all this and they just shrug the doctors. I’m afraid this has been a little traumatizing for me. Just looking for wise words I’d advice.

How long did your doctor have you on the medication so far? Did you see any side effects on the paper/information sheet saying some of the symptoms that you have? You may have to call the doctor this week and tell them what you’re telling me/us.

That’s a great idea! Start out slow and then add more time after each week.😀👍🌈

I’ve seen your post and forumites replies. Because of your medical history it’s hard for us non-medics to give hints and tips, but here goes:

If you haven’t already, go to website of the charity Blood Pressure UK

And

Have a chat with your pharmacist- many of them are more clued up on medication than doctors.

I am still battling skin problems (nearing 6 months now) since being on amlodipine and then furosemide .. doc stopped amlodopine which helped a bit but didn't seem concerned that i scratch like a dog with fleas!! I'm using aveeno shower gel aveeno creams which help a bit. Also use arjun cream .. its menthol... burns the itch away but then I'm freezing cold ... doc is really not interested . Wish you well with your skin.. its horrid 😭😭
