I am a 29-year-old female with difficult to control hypertension. I developed hypertension at age 18. Both my mom and my older sister have high blood pressure. In 2011 l developed pregnancy induced hypertension. Ever since then my pressure has been extremely high and very hard to control. I currently take 6 blood pressure pills and still l have pressures of 152/106. I am 5'5" 114lbs. I am also a exotic dancer in Nevada. The highest my pressure has been was 276/220. Anyone have similar experiences.

Hypertension uncontrollable
I don't have essential hypertension, so sitting I am normo tensive, 115-120/70-80 max. I have no other issues such as diabetes or high cholesterol. However when I stand up my BP rises instantly to 245/140 and keeps on going by 3 minutes its over 300 systolic and diastolic 160, I am also tachy. Hypertension is a familial problem for me, various kinds, depending on other issues. In the case of body builders I believe its normal to have very high BP when you are working out, partly due to the valsalva effect of straining . All exercise increases BP substantially and many people don't realise that. However, its your baseline that's the problem. Are you seeing a specialist in sports BP? Plus you have been putting your arterial walls under enormous strain for a long time, which if you think about it, is something we all try to avoid. It's what causes stenosis. It's certainly what I am trying to avoid and I am trying to get treatment to avoid massive highs happening everytime I stand up
Weight lifting, building up good levels of muscle, has been shown to help BP control, certainly for people like me who have no normal BP control mechanisms, our muscles are our BP control. Yours may be a little bit too controlling.
Apparently its the spikes and drops that will get you in the end.
