Home test monitors are available fairly cheaply from some supermarkets ie asda or even argos. Your dr could provide a 24 hour monitor if you ask, but as it says on the tin, its only for a day. Having your own means tyou can do it as and when you feel you want.

I have my own Omron monitor, think it's a good idea but I would advise to buy brand new, not use. You can also buy a wrist BP monitor but for some reason they don't seem to work on me but they do for my (adult)daughter. Good luck xx
