Anyone naturally lowered their blood pressure. I have tried all sorts of supplements and nothing works. Been to see a homeopath for the last six months and that's not working - think its probably a waste of time. On two meds but want to come off them.

I sympathise Rocheen as, having been prescribed various medications myself for scarily high BP after a trip to A & E, I discovered that the resulting high anxiety and panic attacks were caused by Amiodipine medication. I refused to continue Amiodipine and asked for Losartan but the GP insisted I stay on it and then orescribed both!
I'm now taking magnesium mineral salts (high dose magnesium IV used to be the treatment for very high BP and BP medications deplete magnesium) as well as Jarrows methylcobalamin 5000 mcg, sublingually - hopefully lowering homocysteine and therefore prevention of stroke. I gradually weaned myself off Amiodipine and now take just half a tablet of Losartan after carefully monitoring my own BP daily - my BP is down and the anxiety attacks have gone,
I hasten to add I'm not suggesting you come off your medications but it might be worth trying a different medication, if that's possible?
Hi I have been following the advice of Dr John McDougall. ( you can see him on You tube). His advice for bringing down blood pressure and controlling other problems are all diet based. I have been following his diet since February. So far my blood pressure is down to normal but I am still on blood pressure tablets so I can,t tell but what I can say is my cholesterol is down to normal. So thats one lot of tablets that I can come off. The blood pressure tablets I have to wait until I see my consultant and hopefully then I,ll be able to stop them.
Have a look at the video its pretty motivating.
Good Luck
Wendy
I have in the past been able to do it. I took up Tai Chi to reduce my stress levels. I also cut out salt as much as possible from my diet and now I am working on reducing the amount of refined sugar in my diet as well. I've recently lost weight as well and I had to get my tablets adjusted from taking 2 to just one cause my blood pressure was reading low. It's back to normal at the moment, but I still monitor it and get it checked when I am at the doctors.
Hi, what was your blood pressure before the meds. Its good that you have managed to get to one tablet.
hi my blood pressure seems to be okey after I changed my diet though I'm still taking my bp med prescription everyday.. I cut off salt, red meats and even pork..i eat now more on vegetables, fish, fruits, chicken breasts and turkey breasts..no more fried foods too..i see to it to have 30 minutes exercise which I usually do walking...loads of water intake..i stop drinking coffee and tea. no more headaches as before..i started losing weight now too which is the most recommended by the doctor..
Are you taking your blood pressure manually or electronicallyI was told to ask the nurse to tack it manually as it always shows Good( but it is always too high on a electronic machine ( just a tip from me)
