Lactose intolerant

I have been taking Candersartan for high blood pressure for years,  now I find I am Lactose intolerant.  Can anyone tell me if there is a Lactose free form of Candersartan available in the Uk.

I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago and nobody seems to know.

I would have thought a good pharmacist would be able to answer your question, or at least find out the answer for you.  In the event of Candesartan not being available in a lactose-free form, perhaps a switch to another drug in the same family (angiotensin II receptor antagonists) would be a possibility. Look for liquid forms of any of the medications as they are unlikely to contain lactose.
