Hello everyone - just to say I am feeling much better today, so much so I’ve managed to do a bit of ironing without feeling exhausted. Getting it upstairs is another matter!! This may sound boring to some people but it made me feel “normal” for a short while and able to cope. Had a visit from a community nurse today who was very helpful and gave me lots of info. and advice on coping with the recent diagnosis (which I still can’t quite believe and tend to think it’s happening to someone else, if that makes any sense). Hope everyone keeping well.

Lmax, very pleasing to hear you are back up on your feet and feeling a little better, small steps at a time should do the trick and hopefully things will get even better in the near future, feeling normal is an achievement and in no way boring after what you have been through.........best wishes Skis and Scruffs x

As you say small steps....I’m not about to run a marathon - just getting from one room to another without needing to catch my breath is an achievement these days, but I’m determined to keep going.

Boring & normal, well that makes you feel normal. Sounds great to me and leading a normal life, or near as, is what keeps me on an even keel and determined to keep it like for as long as possible.

Healthy people give me weird looks and say "and you are still working like it?" They cannot comprehend that getting up each day and go to work, being active, is extremely therapeutic.

The thought of having to get up and go out to work again doesn’t fill me with joy but just being able to do “normal” everyday tasks without gasping for breath does. So keep going with whatever it is that you enjoy, helps keep you motivated and moving at your own pace - whatever - keep going.

Well done and speaking of ironing I must get some done today if possible. One step at a time is the way to recovery. Keep going at your own pace as you say, even the tortoise gets there eventually :) :) , so take heed of the tortoise steady and slow works I know myself. Have a pleasant relaxed day.x

Good to hear you're feeling bit stronger - doing any job is like climbing a mountain, so of course you feel a huge achievement - can totally empathise with that. Well done xx
