if there’s nothing on the pack insert maybe your dispensing pharmacist might know. Funnily enough I have this too and on my return from hol will pick up the tablets from my pharmacy.

When i spoke to a nurse about my blood pressure tabs she said “they may not be being absorbed “.

I hope you feel better soon. Which blood pressure tablets are you on? I would personally wait until you are tolerating fluids again maybe just in case they aren't absorbed

Feel awful. Took them 9:30 this morning. Thought if I can hold everything In for about an hour I should be ok.

Haven't been sick since so thats good. Just the uncontrollable nausea all day and stomach issues relating to the other end. Sorry to put you off your tea.

Have found tip tops quite nice though.

Nah I am used to vomiting and my children vomiting right near my tea lol 😆 Are you drinking plain water

Yes. Tried a cup of tea but no go. And I love tea. Sorry forgot to mention im on bisoprolol for fast heart rate.I caught it from my eldest who was ill christmas day eve and he caught it from my youngest who had it 2 days before christmas eve. Now my hubby feels off and my middle child has his birthday monday.

Plus on top of that we've all been chesty and bunged up for over a week.

This virus sure has ruined a few festivities this year! Hope you are all getting better .

I'm on Bisoprolol too. My neighbours have had this dreaded bug 2 adults and 3 children, it's been a nightmare for them. Stick to SIPPING water to stay hydrated. Drinking quantity could make you vomit again. And not cold water, tepid water. So boil it and let it cool. Anti Diarrhea tablets could help when you feel you've got rid of any bad stomach virus. Let the bad out first though, don't trap it. Hope you're feeling better soon. 🙏❤️

If I'm throwing up for more than 24 hours I'm supposed to go in to the warfarin clinic for anticoagulation blood tests. On the other hand, they're not worried about me missing a day or two of bisoprolol.

Tried that in hospital. Made me feel really funny and sick.

I was told many years ago it takes a hour for tablets to get into your blood stream. No idea if it's true . But find if I don't drink the water quickly enough uncoated tablets will start to dissolve in my mouth.

Why don't you just miss your tabs until you are feeling better. Can do that much harm

Got that virus too off my brother who came for Christmas! Anyone got any ideas for electrolytes top up. My heart is ok for the moment just beating faster at rest ( I'm in bed) and don't want it to slip into Afib.

I have the bug too and my pharmacist told me to take Dioralyte go top up my electrolytes, so am drinking this.

Thanks for your reply . Don't fancy going out just yet so have made myself a concoction of fresh lemon, honey and a pinch of salt in cooled boiled water . But if I keep this down I shall pop to the pharmacy to get Dioralyte or equivalent.

1tablespoon of sugar + 1teaspoon a of salt in 1 litre of water is a good cheap substitute for dioralyte and other rehydration products

Also they are usually readily available pretty well everywhere for free where food and drinks are consumed

Thanks! I finally made my own concoction of honey, salt and half a fresh lemon in boiled cooled water. I wasn't ill for long so probably that will do. I think this Norovirus is particularly widespread this winter. It is the first time I have had it for years. My brother got from friends who had had it 10 days before. So it is a pesky tenacious survivor!

I remember I had to ask my pharmacist for something for my dad who had diarrhoea and vomiting and they were just tablets. Maybe ask yourself. I know they helped stop it after 2 tablets and just drank plain water

Wishing you a speedy recovery. I'm feeling worse again, so I feel your pain, as I now dare not leave the house. Get well soon 🤗

Oh no poor you! Maybe you have something else and not the Norovirus which is dramatic, brutal but doesn't last long. I managed a piece of toast and half a banana yesterday with no dire conséquences. But I will be vigilant. I'm not hungry and my stomach feels as if it has gone through a punching session. Get well soon.

I'm so fed up of this now. Fair play to you managing to eat a little. The thought of food at the moment turns my stomach. Thank you for your well wishes.

Well forced myself. Haven't eaten since Thursday so took a chance. So far so good but I know it can set off again if I go outside bland food. Take care

I know it's daunting eating anything when feeling like this. I hope you manage to keep it down. Fingers crossed your symptoms start to slope off soon. All the best.

ORS tablets are very good, variety of flavours too.

Not sure what they are called in France where I live but thanks for your reply - I'll pick up some on my next trip to the UK for future tummy bugs 🙂

Here in Ireland they're called AYA, but a quick google turns up nothing but Irish hits so they appear to be market-specific. (Same container as the ORS tablets though.)

I had the same thing just before Christmas last year couldn't stop shivering and was being sick thought it was my heart so called 101 they sent an ambulance out to me they checked me out and my numbers were all OK the paramedic told me to stop all my medication from Friday to Sunday and if no better by Monday ring GP and only sip water until I felt able to eat something which I was able to do on the Sunday started my medication on the Monday with no ill effects.

Hope this helps and hope you feel better soon.
