Anyone had increased white blood cells in urine or blood (micro hematuria) in urine while on aspirin? RBC and platelets also low and wondering about querying the aspirin all round really. Seems an important med post HA but not sure if I shd expect to see all these changes. Anyone any experience to share?

Aspirin urine effects

Yes, I had raised red blood cells in urine after I started on aspirin.
Turned out I also had h.pylori infection which was irritated by the aspirin. I could have had h.pylori for a while without symptoms before aspirin.
Anyway, after medication with antibiotics retested and all fine now.
Aspirin was making me feel ill. A combination of effects including gastro-intestinal, joint pain and nerve pain. I eased myself off them (against medical advice) and after several days of stopping started to feel much better. So yes, aspirin can be problematic for some.
I would recommend speaking with your doctor about it and don't look to change or cease medication without speaking to them first. There may well be alternatives to try.
at my last years annual health check traces of blood were found in my urine. I had a variety of tests but nothing found. This years urine check was ok. I am on 75mgaspirine
