I have come down with most horrible skin rash (looks like chickenpox without the itching) and am trying to get to the root of it. Even my GP is unsure but is doing several blood tests etc as we speak.
Just remembered I had recently raised my dose of Rouvastatin and wondered if that was maybe the issue.
Have any of my fellow hearties had any skin issues while on Rouvastatin, or any other statin for that matter?

I started them and within a week My jaw started feeling clumpy, like concrete. A few days later the rash appeared and then spread and spread. It was horrid. My pharmacist gave me 2 creams and a lip balm to cycle on a two hourly basis. It helped but didn’t remove it. I stopped taking them and as the days went by so did the rash.
After having issues with Atorvastatin, Pravastatin and Simvastatin, I was prescribed 10mg Rosuvastatin on alternate days. Initially I had a headache, but no other issues. After being on it for a year, I noted my cholesterol had risen slightly, so I asked if I could take it every day and my GP agreed. I had no issues with the increase.
Having a skin issue is very depressing. I had Erythema Multiforme for several months when I was 40 due to work stress, so I can emphasise with your situation. Hopefully you can get the problem sorted soon.
