Cystitis

I have just started Lorvacs XL 1.5 mg prolonged release tablets for my BP and swollen ankles, they changed my Lercardipine due to carrying water, I now have Cystitis, just wondered if anyone else has had this.

I have ongoing Thrush and see that it is the number one side effect of Dapagliflozin. Pharmacist thinks in my case , because I have been taking it for over a year and a half with no side effects the med can’t be the cause. I’m not convinced. Anyone else experience similar?

I cannot comment on direct experience but some years ago I had a bad UTI (from I suspect catheter insertion in theatre). The symptoms were quite unpleasant and it was suggested I try lemon barley water. This did relieve the symptoms and I read it can also help with cystitis and thrush.

D-Mannose is recommended on the NHS website for cystitis. In my experience it works really well. You can get it from healthfood shops.
