been off Bisoproprol 1.25 the past 8 days , not for the first time . same old thing , strange feeling s risen again in chest area , was told to come of medication because i was having dizzy spells and light headeness , being off the meds these events rarely happen but i get the feelings in chest area, as soon as i,m put back on them i get the dizzy and Light headeness , question is has any one else had the same thing happened to them .Been put on the list to see cardiologist about my pulse rate going from 75 at times down to 40 . I know it will be along time before i get to see the cardiologist, Suffering from permanent tinitus ican always tell when my pulse rate is low , because the sound of the tinitus corresponds with pulse rate.

I'm no expert (like everyone else in here) but I'd say you should do as advised and stay off that med. It doesn't help with low HR anyway.

To add a little more info, I was on it but had trouble with low HR and told to stop it. Later I was given a pacemaker to fix the low HR then put back on bisoprolol.

Have to see how things go,if things get worse, back to the gp to see if she can get an earlier appointment, for the cardiologist, which she would try if things got worse, but I would, t hold my breath.

I went to A&E due to feeling breathless and faint, was admitted and got the pacemaker a couple of days later. However I was already on the waiting list for one so that might have had something to do with it. Actual symptoms count for as much if not more than instrument readings when such decisions are made.

You have all of the symptoms I had on Bisopropol. I came off it.

I had to come off it as it dropped my pulse too low. If you have a low pulse rate to start with, Bisoprorol will lower it further which could lead to problems. Do you normally have a low pulse rate? What does your GP suggest?

Not before April, that was when my At fibrillation became more noticeable at times, saw gp ,said blood pressure was high and that,s when he put me on bisoprolol, since then I,ve been on and off it

There are other medications for BP which may be more suitable for you. Bisoprorol actually reduces pulse rate.

So I,ve noticed, but the gp,s have never said anything about changing the medication.

Just one small point.I got rid of dizzyness by taking bisoprolol at night.

I might try that if they put me back on bisoprolol.

I hope that my experience of Bisoprolol can benefit others! I was put on this, at the lowest dose, to see how my body tolerated it.

My cardiologist told me that it kicks in after 2months. Immediate reaction was on my HR, went down from 50 to 40, along with my BP. This sometimes was quite low 90/70, but my pharmacist told me to stop my BP medication.

In the 3rd month I noticed my HR went from 40 to 60 beats/minute, initially thinking that it was a passing phase, but it was'nt.

To this day I cannot find out why that happened? I'm not complaining, my HR rate is 60s and my BP 120s/80s. I have cardiology review in November.

Yea tried coming off myself same 1.25 found I was getting palpitations at night but staying on it getting dizziness Cardiologist suggested pacemaker no thank you still on 1.25 but I did try my doctors and found out that I had a difficenty in B12 which accounted for lack of oxygen in my blood and since injections and taking supplements I feel a lot better hope this helps.
