inclisiran side effects?
The best place to get information on a medicine, if the prescriber hasn’t told you or it’s not on the pack insert , is either the dispensing pharmacist or the pharmacist employed by your doctor’s group of surgeries (assuming you live in the Uk.
I dont know where you got your information from, but google isn’t necessarily your best friend. There would be too few people here on this forum to give you anything like an accurate response.
Anything you put into your body has some effect or other, even if it’s only a drink of water. All medicines have side effects.

Otherwise what Happyrosie has said.
I’ve self-administered two injections of Inclisiran and had no side effects. It didn’t reduce my Lp(a) so my cardiologist stopped it and prescribed Nustendi instead. So a limited experience with Inclisiran.
if had one inclisiran injection last summer and reacted very badly. So much so I have had no more. It caused gastric issues and it took sometime and a change of diet to clear this up.
I refused the push to get me on it because of the Respiratory side-effects listed on both the NHS and BHF websites. I have Asthma and Rhinitis. and didn't feel the benefits were worth the risk
Hi and thanks lowerfield to point Jas to my post.
As a quick update I was literally 2days from taking the injection at my GP surgery when I bailed out.
For me the unknown long term effects put me off even though I was quite confident the near term side effects were not perm. I reached a compromise to take a reduced dose of rosuvastatin with my cardiac consultant.
I may change my mind in future or after the Orion trial results come in?
I’m surprised to see people are self administering as I was told it’s a subcutaneous injection in the stomach so requires a specialist cardiac pharmacist to administer it usually in hospital or GP surgery.
Good Luck with your choice and recovery!
Hi I’ve just had second inclisaran injection with no side effects so far and my ldl cholesterol had decreased by a third ie 3.2 to 2.2. I am very grateful as have tried several oral statins over a number of years and reacted badly to all of them so had stopped taking anything before I had a heart attack in February this year and the hospital pharmacist suggested inclisiran. I’d suggest you try it- it is still quite new and apparently showing good results according to the nurse who gave it to me with no systemic side effects It is only offered according to strict criteria - up to you, of course😊
