24hour heart monitor

Hi just a quick question -just wondered if anyone knows how long u would wait or have waited for results from 24 hr heart monitor -i was told 6-8 wks ? Just seems a bit of a wait - my heart rate drops into 40 s at times causeimg dizziness etc which is he reason for it as it also caused me to collapse recently -thanks

I saw the nurse in may , the appointment came through at 7 weeks. Next Tuesday to be exact.

Yes, that seems to be the usual amount of time. There have been other threads on this forum, because as you say, it is hard waiting for the results when things are not going well. Make sure you tell the GP / cardiologists immediately about the collapses when they happen. Keep a record of your symptoms etc. just because you are waiting for a result does not mean there isn't other treatment needed in the meantime.

Awe thank u for replying -yes I am keeping a record of any symptoms etc as and wen they happen .

Do keep telling the clinicians. We found things moved quickly once my husband blacked out a couple of times because he was getting hurt when he collapsed and it is dangerous.

Yes I am thanks -n as u say it is dangerous and luckily enough I have nt hurt myself much as yet and I don t want to but I am keeping notes on things -hopefully won't wait too long -thank u for replying
