Is there such a thing as a heart rate monitor with an alarm if heart rate rises or falls. I have brugada syndrome with NO ICD fitted and my wife thinks some form off monitor would be reassuring for her and me.

Heart Monitor with Alarm
I know there are breathing monitors for babies at risk of sudden infant death but I think they monitor movement rather than heart. Might be worth investigating those though to see just what they do.
I don’t know if this helps you but I recently purchased iwatch series 4. There is an App on it that will detect if your heart rate goes to high or too low it lets you know in fact there is a setting for it can detect if you have had a fall and if needed will call the authorities I would be without one now as I usually keep track of my heart rate you can also do an ecg on it marvellous invention
I know of no such monitor other than health tracker smart watches, but they're not 100% accurate. I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, have an ICD/pacemaker, and it can obviously detect any arrhythmias (slow or fast) and deliver any needed treatment. A monitor could just alert you to a change, but what good would that be if it can't deliver treatment? Especially because treatment needs to be immediate? I honestly don't mean to sound crass, I'm am just curious why no ICD has been fitted, especially with Brugada.
I have contacted my clinic several times because of concern over readings or "alarms" after having tachycardia on my health tracker watches, and nothing showed up on my device from the clinic diagnostic. Technician explained that all those trackers aren't near as sensitive as an ICD, so they pick up "normal" beats that show up as tachycardia. In other words, don't put all your faith in trackers or monitors because they are no where 100% at detecting a "bad" arrhythmia. I hope that makes sense.
I do understand your and your wife's concern. I was so relieved after I had my ICD/pacemaker implanted, knowing I had my little "insurance" device right there if needed, and the ability to send a reading (if need be) and for remote monitoring and not having to go to clinic once a month.
Wishing you the best...
As I have no symptoms my cardiologist says the fitting of an ICD is not really needed at the moment. These devices also come with their own risks. I drive an HGV Lorry for a living and as long as I have no symptoms I keep my licence and my job, as soon as ICD is fitted I lose my HGV licence.
I already wear a Fitbit which has heart tracker and know they are inaccurate and feel that there is a place for a decent monitor that is recommended by health care professionals.
Any form of warning is far better than no warning at all.
I totally understand and wish you the best.
Im not much use but im wondering if you ever found a monitor with alarm? I'm searching for one with a bold alarm
