Hot hot hot - is it the meds?

Is it just me or do all the pills you take after a HA make you feel so hot? I sweat buckets with little exertion and more so on warm days obvs. I'm a bloke in his 50s, not [a lot] overweight with BP in normal range. I had 4x CABG in January 3 weeks after HA with no prior health issues or warning and have since recovered well. Regularly exercise and walk daily but boy do I continually feel hot day and night since the HA, op and meds:

- Aspirin 75mg

- Bisoprolol 5mg

- Clopidogrel 75mg

- Ramipril 7.5mg

- Atorvastatin 80mg

Can anyone relate or is it just me?

This morning I Googled "heat" and "Ramipril, then "Clopidogrel", and found that taking both pills means I have to be even more careful in this sort of weather, the former apparently making one more vulnerable to sunshine. Last Friday I lunched outside (under a canopy) with a very healthy friend, and we both felt tired afterwards because there was no air movement. (The outside dining area at the restaurant had high fences.)

With the temperature increasing yesterday, I've been feeling very tired, and my mouth has been drier than usual. But I don't feel particularly hot inside, despite a thermometer showing 26 degrees. Not much sweating, and my BP is the lowest it's been for some time (126/69, it's usually high 130s/69 to 75.

My energy levels are always very much up and down, and I find it difficult to gauge what has prompted a "down".

Ramipril and clopidogril both make the body react to up, that doesn’t matter what time of year.

Put on sun cream and cover up.

The heat is due to high air tempratures 28° in places in the uk.

Now 5:18 it’s 25° indoors and 18° outside. So no wonder you are hot.

my husband is on heart medication and he can’t cope with heat anymore. The smallest task and the sweat just pours off him. In the winter his head, ears and eyes get extremely cold, even indoors with heating on.

Do beware of the sun, it is very intense. Our "shade" temperature at 9.45Am yesterday was around 26C. This is the temperature the forecasters give.

However in the direct sun that translates into a temperature of around 48C. That is around 125F.

That is extremely hot so try to keep in the shade and avoid going out when the sun is shining brightly.

So I was sweaty bloke before HA and the pills. After though not so much. We all react differently I would say.
